Fort the second experiment I had a bucket with some holes in it and mushroom mycelium. Over the time I filled the bucket with fresh coffee ground and waited impatiently for the mycelia to cover everything and the fruiting body to appear. Granted the mushroom didn’t look exactly pretty in this state.
And there was yet another thing that worried me. At some places ordinary mildew grow (grey-green). I must have brought it into the bucket when I drew some holes with a spoon, so that the water can reach the lower levels more easily.
Luckily the mushroom mycelium was dominant enough and those little spots didn’t grow any larger. After another two days the baby oyster mushrooms grew.
The mushroom itself looked a bit weird. I waited for the caps to open, but that didn’t happen and I harvested them almost too late. Maybe it was too cold in the room.
