Hawaian Quilt SAL 2 - oder Alles zu seiner Zeit

Heute ist der Rückmeldungstermin für den Hawaian Quilt SAL, den Cattinka im Sommer auf ihren Blog gesartet hat. Ich bin natürlich noch nicht einmal ansatzweise in der Zielgeraden, aber möchte euch gerne zeigen wie weit ich es geschafft habe.

Der SAL hat mir außerordentlich viel Spaß gemacht und ich kann nur sagen das Nähen war richtig "therapeutisch". Die meiste Arbeit habe ich zwischen 2 und 4 Uhr nachts gemacht, wenn ich wieder einmal nicht schlafen konnte. Nach einer Stunde an dem Quilt hat es mit dem Einschlafen gleich viel besser geklappt.

Nichtsdestotrotz habe ich aber seit Oktober nicht mehr daran genäht. Irgendwie mach Hawaii Quilt bei - 5 Grad Celsius keinen richtigen Spaß. Deswegen wandert das Projekt nun auch in den Winterschlaf und wird weitergenäht wenn die Temperaturen eher nach Pina Colada verlangen als nach Glühwein.

Today is the date to show the Hawaii Quilt SAL which Cattinka started last summer. As usual I am far from the finish line and show you my progress so far.

The SAL was remarkably enjoyable and a bit therapeutic for me. I had Insomnia for a quite long time, so I got up and started to sew on the project and after around one hour I was able to go to sleep again. Nether the less I didn’t work on it since October and that is the reason why it goes to hibernation. It’s not fun to work on a project which has the name Hawaii in it when it is -5 Celsius out there. I will continue when the weather is more suitable for Pina colada then hot wine punch.
