Post aus Texas

Endlich sind die Pakete vom fatquartershop.com vom Zoll abgefertigt worden! Als vorgezogenes Weihnachtsgeschenk habe ich mir diese Flanellstoffe in wunderschönen warmen Herbstfarben gegönnt. Es sind 39 Fatquarters plus einige Meter mehr für Hintergrund und Binding aus der Serie "Flannel Days" von den Kansas Troubles Quilters. 

Finally the packages from fatquartershop.com passed clearance at local custom! I bought these warm colored fabrics as an early Christmas present for myself.  There are 39 fat quarters plus some yards for background and binding from the design Flannel days by Kansas Trouble Quilters.

Zwei Quilts habe ich für diese Stoffe schon entworfen. Leider habe ich jetzt kaum Zeit diese Quilts zu nähen - wahrscheinlich werden es Projekte für das nächste Jahr werden. Der Bärchenquilt mißt ca.120 x 120 cm, die Inspiration dafür ist mein kleiner dicker Kater mit Kosenamen Bärchen.

I already designed two Quilts for these fabrics. Unfortunately I won't have the time to make them in the near future - they are probably projects for the next year. The Bear-Quilt is about 48 x48 inches and is inspired by my rather fat cat Jason who's nickname is Bärchen (it's  German for sweet little Bear). 

Der zweite Quilt mißt 95 x 95 cm und wird als Überwurf für ein Sitzkissen gebraucht 

The second quilt is about 37 x 37 inches and will be used as plaid for a seat cushion.
